The Thar Desert, also known as the Great Indian Desert, is a large, arid region in the northwestern part of the Indian subcontinent, covering parts of Rajasthan. It is characterized by its arid climate, sparse vegetation, and the presence of sand dunes. The Kalahari, Gobi, and Sahara deserts are major deserts located in Africa, Asia, and Africa respectively, and are not found in India.
